Dear Artec
i just want every one to know that no matter what you need to stay strong and not give up. I know that I have a hard time not giving up when things don't go my way or when I can't control what is going on around me. I am struggling right now. My parents are signing their rights over to the state and I am having a hard time with it, because I thought that my family would always be there for me. I was sure wrong about that. Just know that the only person you can count on is your self. Some times you don't even know about that. Thank you guys for letting me share my feelings. I am just going to put a smile back on my face as if everything is ok.

Book review; Fight Club
Fight Club is about a guy whose life was going terribly. So his new alter ego: Tyler Durden started a fight club in New York. The first rule about fight club is you do not talk about fight club. Nobody followed this rule so the word quickly spread. Then Tyler Durden started up something called project mayhem, it was to start everybody back at 0 on the economy line. I give it a 4 star rating. I liked it a lot because you really had to think about the whole picture.

Student council update:
On the 1st of May we are going to be having a dance for everyone who doesn’t have any f’s on their midterms. There is going to be games as well as dancing. We are going to have a cotton candy machine. The 1st one that you get is free then all the ones after that are going to cost you a dollar. We are going to be having a cakewalk and we are going to be throwing pies at the teachers who want them to be thrown at them. We are going to be having a snowball dance where there are two jars, one with the girl’s names in them and the other with the guy’s names in it. Whoever you draw out of the jar is the person that you absolutely have to dance with. If you don’t want to dance with a certain person then don’t put your name into the jar. We are going to be doing the limbo. And we are going to be having dances where the girls pick the guys and one where the guys pick the girls. If you make it to the dance then you automatically get to wear your own clothes for that day. By Brittany

The book I’m reviewing is called Vampire Kisses. It’s about a girl that has a little brother, I don’t remember his name, but she calls him Nerd Boy. She lives in a really small town called Dullsville, while she is growing up she believes that vampires are real. When she turned 16 a family of vampires moved into this haunted house. She goes to investigate, but gets busted. It’s a really good book.

Video games: Resident Evil 5 Code Veronica
Resident Evil is a game where there are zombies and a girl named Claire Redfield who is looking for her lost brother Chris Redfield. Claire broke into a high-tech locked down facility and got caught. 3 hours later she is released. She goes outside to find that the dead are walking. She figured that the T-Virus was out of hand. In the beginning of the game she meets up with a guy named Steve and he helps her to escape the island and get some safe, but they find out that nowhere is safe, the whole world is infected!!!!!

Today is Earth day and I am going to say what I think and how I feel about it.
Earth day is very important, because the Earth is the planet that we live on. If we do not take care of it then we cannot live a healthy life on this planet. On Earth day the people should do things that will make the Earth a better place to live (i.e. pick up all the trash that invades the streets, conserve energy with less lighting during the day).
I also feel happy that someone chose a day that is special for our Earth. That they took the time to come up with a way that we, as people, can respect the Earth that we will always live on. By: Stevie Re' R.

I have been having some problems at home and I need some advice.
I have had trouble with my sisters. We fight a lot and we verbally attack each other.

Living in Utah sucks! There are 2 big problems with living in Utah. The first problem is the laws. The laws here are so much stricter than the laws in other places such as California or Nevada. The other problem is the freaking’ cold weather here. It makes all of us cold, wet, and utterly miserable. I hate the cold weather here!

I think some movies are okay but some are not.
Like pg13 movies are not okay for kids under 15 years old.
Pg movies are okay for kids that are under 15 years old, because they don’t have any swearing or sexual behaviors in it. So if you are 15 or younger please do not watch pg13 movies. And it is doesn’t matter if you are with an adult still you can’t see a pg13 movie.

Who’s leaving???
April G. is leaving. She is going home with her family. But she will be attending Artec Day Treatment though. She is leaving, because she did an excellent job at completing this program. She went from not wanting to be here and not doing so well, to this great person that wants sobriety, and gets to go home! She thinks that she is excited and ready to move on. And it is for the best! She can't wait to get away from the drama! She is going to have fun! She will be greatly missed! I love this girl! I’ll miss you April!!!

Michelle has finally done her time from the locked unit to transition.
Wow, that is so exciting!!!! Michelle is going home to be with her family. Michelle is still going to be here with us though at school, but at least during the night she can be home. Michelle has been through a lot in her life and has learned a lot and has changed for the best. Michelle says, “That she has a wonderful crazy weird experience here at Artec residential treatment, she is just excited to get out and continue on with her life” Transition will miss her so much!!!! This is a student council update. We are planning a flag-football tournament just like the bad-mitten and volley ball tournaments. This is going to take place sometime in May. Guitar hero it’s a fun game. You can play classic songs from back in the day. Then you can buy a lot more songs from other bands. Or also buy outfits and more guitars. I give this game a 4 out of 5. This game can take some skill. Play it at 3 different levels. Put your guitar playing skills to the test.
Video Game Grand Theft Auto San Andreas is a very cool game. And let me tell you a little about this game. It is very realistic like how life works; you drive any car you want too and there are dirt bikes, bullet bikes, you also can ride tractors what ever has wheels. And also there are also gangs and guns it is also a very violent game. And you can also buy houses, you also do missions and make money from them and become a very rich man.

This film is a very good film to see. This movie was put in theatres in 1978. It was filmed at Venice High School In Venice, California. The movie released in the U.S. on VHS during the 1980’s, and now its is one of the most known movies of all time. This movie is in my top 5 favorite movies that I have ever seen. I suggest that you see it once in your life because even now it's kind of old, it still is really good movie. This movie has to deal with the struggles of teenage life and the relationship between a greaser (John Travolta) and Sandy a goodie goodie (Olivia Newton John).

Touching Spirit Bear
This book is about a boy named Cole Mathews who has been to detention a few times and who is very angry. One day he beat some kid at school up really bad and teachers had to pull him off. The kid who he beat up is named peter and now has problems with his speech. So then they send Cole to this Island way far away to live by him self so that he can think for a while. When Cole gets there he try’s to escape and gets mauled by a bear. His counselors come and get him right before he dies and take him back Minneapolis. He asks to go back to the Island and they let him. This time he stays and learns so much and the kid peter that he beat up comes to. They both learn so much it’s really a good book I love it.

I can’t really remember a lot about the game, but I liked it when I was a little kid. I used to play this game a lot when a was a little kid with my brothers and my friends. It had like a hundred and twenty stars you needed to get but there was a hundred and twenty-five you could get and their was ten stars that you didn’t even need to earn you could just find them in a room or talk to toad or something. I didn’t beat the game, but my brothers beat the game probably about seven times. I would give it 3/5 stars then but now days I would only give it ½ /5 stars. I got this picture from www.nexgam.de

Book Review Hatchet
The book is really interesting. There is a kid named Brian he is going to his Dad's for the summer. Brian’s Mom buys him a hatchet to take to his Dad's. His Mom takes him to the airport, he is taking a plane to Canada, because that is wear his dad lives. He gets on the plane and the pilot tells him to get in the co-pilot's seat. They didn’t talk very much, because the engine was so loud the pilot had a heart attack and died. Brian flew the plane for a long time and it started to run out of fuel so he had to crash it and all there was around four miles of trees and lakes so he decided to crash it into a lake. As he was gradually bringing the plane down to land in the lake he was almost there and the wing on the plane hit a tree he crashed and he survived eventfully.
